Boyfriend and I found this absolute gem of a pub set in rural Wadenhoe. The gardens are beautiful with plenty of space and a canal running through with canal boats stopping. Staff are extremely helpful and attentive. We happen to stop when they had a bbq and the food.. oh my the food! Steak sandwiches with salad and chips was amazing! Can’t fault this place! Will be visiting again very soon.

We had a Tea for Two voucher. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. We shared a plate of sandwiches - cream cheese and smoked salmon, ham and mustard and cheese and pickle. Then the cakes arrived - more than enough and we had a doggy bag to bring home. Highly recommended.

We would highly recommend The King’s Head! Lovely setting, beautiful grounds and a peaceful place to moor up! Excellent wholesome food, proper homemade cakes and scones etc in the Barn Tea Room and nothing is too much trouble. Owners and staff are all so friendly and welcoming and even helped us with a problem with our boat! Can’t wait to go back!
